Blessing of Rongton Buddhist Centre

by His Holiness Sakya Trizin

The members of the Rongton Buddhist Centre in Brisbane were all greatly blessed on Monday, 15th June 2009 by the arrival of His Holiness Sakya Trizin, the head of the Sakya Tradition within Tibetan Buddhism, together with his entourage of monks and nuns en route to Brisbane airport at the conclusion of the Brisbane leg of his 2009 Australian tour.

During his brief visit, His Holiness blessed our centre and gave a brief Manjushri transmission, while about 15 of our regular pracititioners sat in awe of his powerful and very palpable presence.  Indeed, every minute seemed very precious and completely filled with joy, peace and happiness on this very auspicious occasion, and we were left in no doubt that we were receiving the blessings of a very great being.

It was soon time for His Holiness to be on his way again in order for him to make the flight up to Cairns, so with deep gratitude we presented our khatas and made offerings.  We then watched as His Holiness made his graceful and dignified way back to the waiting car, still not quite believing out eyes as we bowed to his majestic, wise and compassionate presence!

May the merit of these blessings that we at the Rongton Buddhist Centre have received from His Holiness Sakya Trizin be dedicated for the benefit of all sentient beings!
