Crystal Ma
Crystal was born into a family who practices Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and was taught by her grandfather who was a prominent TCM doctor in Taiwan and USA in the 1980’s & 90s.
Between 1996 & 1998, she did 18 months’ study of fundamental theory of Chinese Medicine, and completed a six-month certificate in acupuncture training in Guangzhou TCM University in 2003. Following this, she worked in various hospitals and then ran her own health centre from 2003-2006. She is qualified in acupuncture, moxibustion, massage and thermal therapy techniques which are used to balance the physical body and improve mental health.
Crystal is currently doing a degree at QUT which is more Dharma-like in its subject matter, and has also recently become a resident at the Rongton Buddhist Centre. She hopes her stay will generate more energy at the Centre by offering Chinese language and culture teachings and TCM services, and “makes a difference” in our community. It is said that good karma creates good health.
Crystal’s philosophy is that a balanced body will benefit meditation practice, and through this we can benefit many beings. Her hope is that everyone will be healthy and happy.
